The support from facebook, twitter, and youtube was simply amazing! Then all of a sudden, just 250 youtube plays away from our goal, we pulled the remix down. I know some of you were like…WHAT HAPPENED?

Well, first of all let me say that there are certain rules and regulations that run the music industry, and many times in the past, I simply ignored those rules. Not because I don’t care, but because most of the rules sat in place for legal clearance of copy-written music require a hefty budget. A budget that I don’t currently  have access to.  Secondly, the majority of the music industry looks at remixes as free advertisement, and they usually go uncontested. The truth is that 99 percent of the mixtapes in the market place are illegal.

Vashawn Mitchell and his Representatives expressed their disapproval of the release of the remix without proper clearance. This conversation happened via twitter.  They asked me to contact Vashawn’s record label, EMI gospel, to get clearance. I agreed, and out of respect, I chose to pull the remix down. I never meant to break any laws, or offend anyone. My only purpose was to create a version of his song that would reach a younger audience.

I also took this incident as a sign to stop doing (un-cleared) re-mixes altogether. I had never had a problem with it up to this point, but all things happen for a reason. I already felt like I reached the end of the season of doing remixes, so I took their dispute as my confirmation. I apologize for any inconvenience my actions may have caused to anyone. At the end of the day, I just wanna put out good music. Thanks to all of my fans for your prayers and support!

Everything that we do has a purpose. After looking at all the social media platforms, we realized that we are using most of them, but without a absolute defined purpose. So after a brief meeting on yesterday, we discovered what would be a new and awesome use for our youtube channel. So far, we’ve only copied what other music artist did and updated the channel every now and then with new videos, music, announcements and behind the scenes footage.  But in order to stand out from the pack, we had to figure out a use for our video channel that would be unique and set apart from the rest.

So without further adieu, we present to you “T Haddy News Tunes”. This channel will  present news and current events in creative song format on the 1st and 15th of every month. In addition, subscribers will continue to receive new exclusive T Haddy videos, music, announcements, and behind the scenes footage.
